The Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the sport of fencing on the central coast of California.  By providing financial and operational assistance, educational opportunities, and the sharing of information in the spirit of openness and cooperation, the Foundation helps athletes, coaches and clubs to realize their goals, raise awareness in their community, and achieve excellence in their sport.

Youth Circuit Event Cancelled
The third Youth Circuit event has been cancelled. In its place, we will be holding a team tournament in foil and epee at the San Luis Highlanders as a fundraiser for the Foundation. More information available here.
Albertsons' Community Partners
The Foundation is pleased to announce that we are partnering with Albertsons' through their Community Partners program to help raise funds for the CCFF. More information about this program can be found on our Fundraising page. Please help us raise the money we need for our programs through this easy fundraising opportunity.
 
Central Coast E and Under USFA Tournament
The next local USFA event will be the Central Coast E and Under Tournament held at Cal Poly on January 17. More information and pre-registration is on AskFred. This event is a great opportunity for newer fencers (or fencers new to competitions) to compete at his or her level. More experienced fencers can contact the organizers at w.goodwater@gmail.com if they wish to practice their refereeing skills.
 
Central Coast Youth Circuit #2
The second youth circuit event was held in Santa Barbara at Presidio's new facility. Results are posted here. Don't forget to check the updated points list, as well. The next event will be held in SLO by the San Luis Highlanders.
Central Coast Youth Circuit #1
San Luis Highlanders hosted the first Youth Circuit event of the season. Results and updated points lists are up. Don't miss the next Circuit event at Presidio in December.
First Events of the Season
Presidio held their first tournament in their new facility. Results can be found online. Next, the community is hosting the Fall Open at Cal Poly on October 11, and shortly thereafter, San Luis Highlanders will be hosting the first Central Coast Youth Circuit event of the season.
Tentative 2009-2010 Schedule
A tentative schedule for the local events for 2009-2010 has been posted. Please note that due to difficulties with securing venues this season, our schedule is a little less set than it has been in the past. Please watch this space for any updates to the dates, times, or locations of our local fencing events.
2009-2010 Schedule Planning Meeting
A meeting to plan the local calendar for 2009-2010 will be held at 4PM on Saturday, August 22, in Santa Maria. More information can be obtained by emailing chair@centralcoastfencing.org.

 New CCFF Board Members
The Central Coast Fencing Foundation is proud to announce four new members to its Board of Directors:
   - Dave Grant, coach from Cal Poly
   - Donna Woolston, parent of a fencer from San Luis Highlanders
   - Tim Baldwin, fencer from Cal Poly
   - Nila LeGault, parent of a fencer from San Luis Highlanders

The Board is also pleased to congratulate our new Chair, Walter Goodwater, our new Secretary, Kim Goodwater, and our new Vice-Chair, Merry McCown. We would also like to thank the three retiring members of the Board for their service to our community: Eric McDonald, Dewey Sandberg, and Marc Whipp.
