The Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the sport of fencing on the central coast of California.  By providing financial and operational assistance, educational opportunities, and the sharing of information in the spirit of openness and cooperation, the Foundation helps athletes, coaches and clubs to realize their goals, raise awareness in their community, and achieve excellence in their sport.

San Luis Obispo Open
The last USFA area tournament of the 2007-2008 season will be held on May 25, 2008, at Cal Poly's Mott Gym. The San Luis Obispo Open will hopefully be the biggest event yet, so be sure to sign up early online.
 Central Coast Circuit Results Posted
Results have been posted for the Central Coast Circuit Events 1 and 2. Current overall point totals for the Circuit will be up shortly. Circuit Event 3 was held in Paso Robles this weekend, and results will be posted soon.
 Results Posted for Central Coast Unrated USFA Tournament
Results have been posted for our recent USFA tournament. It was one of the largest Unrated events we've ever held, with 68 entries and 12 ratings given away! Thank you to everyone who came out to fence and to help, and we'll see you in March for our next USFA event.
 Referee Seminar Details
The Referee Seminar with Derek Cotton is coming up shortly. Anyone who has not signed up online should contact w.goodwater@gmail.com immediately. More details, such as start times and locations, are available here.
 Upcoming CCFF Youth Circuit Cup
The first tournament for the annual Central Coast Youth Circuit Cup is coming up on November 4th at the San Luis Highlanders. All Junior, Cadet, and Youth fencers should be sure to be there! More information about the rules for this year can be found here.
 CCFF Barbeque
The CCFF would like to thank everyone who came out to support local fencing at our annual fundraiser. We all enjoyed the great food and the fun time together. Thank you all!
 San Luis Obispo Fall Open
Pre-registration is available for the Fall Open Fencing Tournament on AskFred.net. This will be the first San Luis Obispo-area USFA event of the year, so all fencers should plan on attending. It will be held on October 7th, at Cal Poly's Mott Gym. We hope to see you all there!
 Referee Clinic with Derek Cotton
The Foundation is proud to sponsor a local referee seminar with Derek Cotton. Mr. Cotton is a highly distinguished referee at the national and international level, and has officiated at two Olympic games. The San Luis Obispo fencing community is honored to have him come and help strengthen our local officiating. Mr. Cotton will give a seminar and administer the USFA written and practical exams, giving our local referees a chance to become rated with the Fencing Officials Commission.  The clinic will be held on November 10 and 11.

 2007-2008 Tournament Schedule
Your local 2007-2008 season tournament schedule has been released and is available on our website. Be sure to mark the dates on your calendar and come out to support local events and clubs. Junior and Youth fencers - be sure to note the upcoming Central Coast Circuit Cup events!
 New CCFF Board Members
The Central Coast Fencing Foundation is proud to announce three new members to its Board of Directors:
   - Marc Whipp, fencer from San Luis Highlanders
   - Dewey Sandberg, fencer from Salle de Fers
   - Walter Goodwater, coach from Cal Poly

The Board is also pleased to congratulate our new Chair, Chris Smith, and thank our outgoing Chair, Stew Jenkins, for his continuing service.
