The Foundation is a non-profit organization
dedicated to the advancement of the sport of fencing on the central coast of
California. By providing financial and operational assistance,
educational opportunities, and the sharing of information in the spirit of
openness and cooperation, the Foundation helps athletes, coaches and clubs to
realize their goals, raise awareness in their community, and achieve
excellence in their sport. |

Youth Circuit Update |
|
San Luis Highlanders hosted the last
event of the 2011-2012 season on May 12. The points list
has been updated. Congratulations to our winners and to all the fencers who
participated this year! |

Local Fencing News |
|
It has been a busy few months for
our local fencing community. Presidio hosted the 1st Annual
“Veterans and Vines” event that drew vet fencers from all over the state, and
even some from neighboring states. It was a great success for Presidio and
the Foundation wishes to thank them for their donations, and to thank the
sponsors of the event for their generosity. A big thank you to Whole Foods, Clif Bar, Oreana Winery, Kunin Wines, the
S.B. Urban Wine Trail, and Edible Santa Barbara Magazine! The fourth event of the Youth
Circuit has also been fenced. Results and
updated points lists are online. Lastly, fencing is expanding!
Presidio has launched its second location, this time in the Santa Ynez Valley. More information is available on Presidio’s website. |

The initial schedule for the
2011-2012 season has been posted.
Hopefully more events will be added as the season goes on. Our first event
will be a Youth Circuit / E Foil tournament at a new venue in Los Olivos on Saturday, October 1. |
