The Foundation is a non-profit organization
dedicated to the advancement of the sport of fencing on the central coast of
California. By providing financial and operational assistance,
educational opportunities, and the sharing of information in the spirit of
openness and cooperation, the Foundation helps athletes, coaches and clubs to
realize their goals, raise awareness in their community, and achieve
excellence in their sport. |

The 6th
annual SLO Open is happening on May 26 at Cal Poly. This is our community’s
biggest event of the year, so we hope to see everyone there! |

We are pleased to announce two new
members of the CCFF Board of Directors, Kyle Yamasaki and Rachel Wieczorek. Both are local fencers and coaches and we look
forward to their efforts in serving the Foundation and our community. |

Youth Circuit |
|
The dates for the 2012-2013 Youth
Circuit have been set. This season will include a few changes to the rules, including: -
We will NOT be adopting the new conductive
foil bib for the youth events this season -
Fencers must at
least be non-competitive members of the USFA (this membership level is
available for $5, see usfencing.org for more details) -
There are five
tournaments planned but only the top three results for each fencer will count
toward the Youth Circuit Cup -
There will be no
Cadet category this year |

Initial 2012- 2013
Schedule Posted |

The initial schedule for the
2012-2013 season has been posted.
Hopefully more events will be added as the season goes on. Our first event will
be a Youth Circuit / Unrated Foil tournament at in Los Olivos
on Saturday, October 13. |
